What will come out of this tournament?
The second stage of the League of Legends Global Broadcast News will begin with the League of Legends World Championship — which will be the main event of the event. The details of the event will be released in two waves, with the first being a Trial event that will give all participants a chance to win real cash prizes. The second phase of the league will be the League of Legends World Cup, which will be held in Asia. There will be two games at the World Cup — one is the League of Legends World Championship and the other is the League of Legends World Cup. The League of Legends World Championship will be held on June 2 and the League of Legends World Cup on June 5, in Seoul, South Korea. The League of Legends International Invitational will be held in Las Vegas in February, and in March, the player-versus-player event will take place in New York City.

Which teams will be featured in our World Championship coverage?
We have chosen the top teams from each region to make up the full group for the World Championship. The group stage will focus on teams from Asia and Europe, followed by North America and South America. The top teams from each region will be placed in the quarterfinals, semifinals and final, with the remaining teams going through a bracket-based selection process. The bottom teams will be eliminated in the first round of eliminations, before being replaced by the next best team from each region.
